General Builder Apprenticeship standard is launched!

Fabulous news this week that the General Builder Apprenticeship standard is launched and published on the Skills England website.
Developed by SME builders for SME builders, all the conversations were around what was needed to support work on site with the right skills needed at each stage of the project. So, this new apprenticship standard covering 4 trade skills will offer important flexibility to SMEs.
Annie led the Occupational Group (formerly a Trailblazer Group) and members of the Federation of Master Builders were involved at all stages of the development with input from other SMEs to ensure that the new standard would work for micro, small, and medium sized construction companies.
It could not have been achieved without the time and commitment given by members of the Occupational Group and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed at each stage of the development. Annie
It is a great starting point for a careet in construction for a young person or someone who is changing career and offfers the benefit of greater flexibility for employers.
That sounds like a 'win-win' position!
