On the riverside terrace of the House of Lords, Annie met up with fellow Master Builders to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Federation of Master Builders (FMB).
It all started in 1941 when a group of 15 small builders were determined to help Britain 'build back better' after all the bombings and destruction of so many buildings during the London Blitz. They formed the Federation so that they could support each other and work together on quality restorations of so many bomb-damaged homes.
80 years later the FMB is still supporting SME builders and it has grown to be the largest trade association in the UK construction industry. As a Director of the FMB, Annie is delighted to be involved in carrying on this valued support for London's builders.
